IDEN WINS IRONMAN KONA, SMASHES COURSE RECORD!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2022 Giant-sponsored triathlete Gustav Iden turned in a historic performance at the 2022 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, winning the race in his first-ever attempt. Iden conquered Kona with a stunning time of 7:40:24, shattering German Jan Frodeno’s course record of 7:51:13 by more than 10 minutes. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021 Giant-sponsored triathlete Gustav Iden made a big splash at his first-ever full-distance Ironman event, winning Ironman Florida in Panama City Beach. The two-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion put an exclamation point on his win by setting a new course record of 7:42:57. Iden, who in 2019 became the youngest Ironman 70.3 World Champion ever at age 23 and recently repeated his title, had already proven himself at shorter distances. 20 SEPTEMBER 2021 Giant-sponsored triathlete Gustav Iden defended his title as Ironman 70.3 world champion, turning in a dominant performance in St. George, Utah, to win the title for the second straight time. Fellow Giant athlete Sam Appleton of Australia also had a strong race, finishing in the top-10.
