After teammates Kristen Faulkner and Ane Santesteban finished fourth and fifth at the hilly Emakumeen Nafarroako, the duo stepped up their performance on Wednesday by finishing third and second, respectively. Rachele Barbieri made her return to the road after a couple weeks on the track and secured a podium finish, sprinting to second place. SATURDAY, MAY 7, 2022 Team BikeExchange-Jayco rider Simon Yates turned in the best time trial ride of his career to earn the win on Stage 2 of the Giro d’Italia. With the victory, the Brit gained valuable time on general classification rivals as he moved into second place overall behind Stage 1 winner Mathieu van der Poel.
