Allysa Seely wins the gold medal at the World Triathlon Para Cup Besancon and secures fourth place overall.

Liv Racing Collective athlete Allysa Seely took home victory at the World Triathlon Para Cup in Besancon, France, this past weekend, racing on her Avow Advanced Pro she secured the win in the PTS2 Women category.

Reflecting on her preparation and mindset before the race, Seely shared, "Training has been very stable heading into this race, making gains in all three disciplines has been a focus and I am achieving that goal. I was calm and collected heading into the race. I knew where my training was and was confident with how I would perform."

The race conditions in Besancon were variable but ideal for the demanding course. "The weather was mixed with sun, clouds, and light rain, the race provided a good challenge with climbs and technical descents. I made a few small mistakes to learn from and train this week before heading into the next couple of races," she remarked. "The most memorable part of the race was being out there and being confident, something I hadn't felt in a while. This was the result I had hoped I could achieve and needed."

With this victory, Seely has not only taken home a gold medal but also crucial points towards qualifying for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Currently sitting in fourth place overall, she is well-positioned as she heads to the World Triathlon Para Cup Swansea.
