Crystal Anthony earns a well-deserved spot among the top finishers at the Little Sugar 100K MTB Race in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Liv Racing Collective athlete Crystal Anthony secures fifth place at the Little Sugar 100K MTB Race in Bentonville, Arkansas. Racing the singletrack course on her Pique Advanced Pro 29, she completed the 61.7 miles (100km) and 6,558 feet of elevation in 5:19:33.

Anthony, who calls Bentonville home, expressed her excitement about the race, saying, "The discontinued Oz Trails 50 miler was the event that first brought me to Bentonville 5 years ago, and now that Bentonville has become home, it was really exciting to have the Life Time Little Sugar 100K MTB fill its place."

Reflecting on her strategy for the challenging race, she continued, "From my experiences at the Oz Trails, I knew that steady pacing and continued focus in the latter part of this relentlessly up and down, twisty course was key. Even among fields of the best, racers started too hard and faded, and flatted on the harsh limestone. Sure enough, even though I was initially in the chase group behind the lead five, we caught and passed riders and I was able to secure the final podium spot in fifth."

The race is part of the week-long Life Time Big Sugar Classic Cycling Festival and features the largest single-day prize payout in US mountain bike racing history, distributed among the top five finishers in both the men's and women's categories. The festival closes with the Big Sugar Gravel Race on October 21, as an MTB and gravel athlete, Anthony is poised to be a top contender in this race.
