Lotte Kopecky took the win on the fourth an final stage of Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta in an exciting sprint finish.

Heading into the final stage of La Vuelta, Liv Racing WorldTeam athlete Lotte Kopecky knew the steep climb into the finish in Santiago de Compostela suited her strengths. She started the day with confidence in herself and her teammates to get her to a seemingly inevitable bunch sprint. However, the competition had other plans. A four-rider breakaway just 50 kilometers into the 107-kilometer stage held off the bunch for longer than expected, and with one rider making a move from the break with just 10 kilometers left, it was unsure if anyone would be able to catch her. But, as the road pitched upward into town, the solo leader was caught by Kopecky and Elisa Longo Borghini. With Longo Borghini leading into the flat road before the finish, Kopecky was in control and waited until the perfect moment to make her move and secure the win aboard the Langma Advanced SL Disc.

“I had to win today after such a great preparation by the team,” said Kopecky. “The team did everything they could to close the gap. That was incredibly strong, and at exactly the right moment. The timing was perfect.”

Kopecky also secured the points classification victory with her win.
