The Liv Racing WorldTeam competed in two French one-day races, starting Friday with La Classique Morbihan and followed by Grand Prix du Morbihan Féminin on Saturday. Sofia Bertizzolo unleashed a strong attack with one kilometer to go, securing the win by nine seconds over the peloton.

The 115-kilometer route for La Classique Morbihan began in Josselin, taking racers through a hilly course before finishing on a 5-lap circuit. The athletes faced a 1.8-kilometer climb six times before the finish in Grand-Champ. With 85 kilometers to go, Liv Racing WorldTeam had Pauliena Rooijakkers in a breakaway at the front. With 25 kilometers left, Rooijakkers attacked again and stayed away with eight other riders. As the peloton approached the final kilometers, Rooijakkers breakaway group was caught but teammates Lotte Kopecky and Sofia Bertizzolo were there. With one kilometer to go, Bertizzolo launched a razor-sharp attack. With a strong sprinter in Kopecky still in the peloton, no other riders were willing to close the gap and Bertizzolo claimed the victory aboard the Langma Advanced SL Disc. The finish marked her first professional UCI win.

“The feeling of winning was something I had been looking for for a long time,” said Bertizzolo. “This season I have shown several times that I am strong. But unfortunately, there were not many chances to win, partly because I am not a pure sprinter or climber. It’s nice that today all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.”

On Saturday, Kopecky went for another Liv Racing WorldTeam victory in the 102-kilometer Grand Prix du Morbihan Féminin. The race consisted of a hilly local circuit of 14.6 kilometers which the athletes completed seven times. In the sprint finish from a depleted peloton, Kopecky gave all the effort she had after chasing several attacks, and finished fourth.
