Linda Indergand took her first Swiss Bike Cup win of the year at Sunday’s urban short track race in Lugano, Switzerland.

Arriving back in Switzerland following the final World Cup of the season in Snowshoe, WV, USA, Linda Indergand (Liv Factory) was back to racing short track at the Swiss Bike Cup Lugano. The short urban course featured tight, technical corners, wooden ramps and rollers, one steep climb and a long downhill stair section.

Indergand took the lead on the climb in the first lap and never looked back. Able to take an optional technical line near the finish with skill, Indergand extended a small gap to the rest of the field on each of the seven laps. Even after dropping a chain on her final lap as the rain came down, Indergand crossed the finish line with a 33 second lead on second place for the win aboard her Pique Advanced Pro 29.

“Finally, I could take a win on a XCC race after some fourth places this year,” Indergand said in an Instagram post on Sunday. “Obviously, it’s not a World Cup, but it is my first elite win on a Swiss Cup race.”
