Liv Racing Collective athlete Radka Kahlefeldt finishes second at the Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast and prepares for the Ironman World Championship in Kona next month.
In the beautiful town of Mooloolaba, Australia, the Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast took place this past weekend. Radka Kahlefeldt of the Liv Racing Collective swept second place, completing the 1.9km swim, 90km ride, and 21.1km run in 04:16:52 on her Avow Advanced Pro.
"I didn't taper my training before this race, just a couple of easier days before to freshen up. I felt a bit " sleepy" on the swim, and couldn't get into the rhythm but then felt better and better as the day went on," she reflected after the event. "I am happy I was able to keep pushing and fighting all the way to the finish line so second place is a good result."
"This race was a good last big test before the Ironman world champs in Kona next month." Kahlefeldt's next challenge awaits her in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii at the Ironman World Championship on October 14th.
