Liv Racing WorldTeam athlete Lotte Kopecky scored her third straight Belgian national championship title in the individual time trial discipline.
The 25km Belgian championship time trial course through Ingelmunster consisted of two technical laps with plenty of corners. Liv Racing WorldTeam athlete Lotte Kopecky set out to defend her ITT national title Wednesday, which she won in both 2020 and 2019. At the end of the first lap, Kopecky was still behind race leader Julie Van de Velde. In lap two, she kept a strong pace and crossed the finish line 14 seconds ahead for the win.
Kopecky will defend her Belgian national title on the road Sunday.
“It’s the goal to go for the double but it will not be easy,” said Kopecky. “It’ll be a long and nervous day so we’ll have to be on the top of our toes.”
